What I did not expect was how much calmer my dog would be once the gap was filled in. She used to be antsy the whole drive, probably because she felt unstable back there. Since I got this she just curls up and stays put.
It fits across the back seat without a lot of adjusting. The straps anchor it to the headrests front and back and it stays in place even when my dog does a full spin to find his spot. Really well thought out for something so simple 👏.
This thing is sturdy. I have two medium-sized dogs and they both fit comfortably on longer drives without either of them ending up on the floor. The whole back seat just feels more organized and safe now.

I was a little unsure whether something like this would actually support a heavier dog without bowing or tipping, but the hard bottom keeps everything level and solid. My dog is about 90 pounds and it handles him without any issue at all.
My last one was a floppy fabric mess that sagged under my dogs and eventually just folded in on itself. This one has an actual hard bottom so it stays flat no matter how much my two labs shift around back there. Night and day difference.

The hard bottom is really what makes this work. It bridges that gap between the back seat and the floor completely flat, so my dog basically has a little platform to stretch out on instead of half-hanging into the footwell. He looks so much more comfortable on longer drives.

The fabric is noticeably thick when you run your hand across it. It does not feel like something that will pill or tear after a few uses. My dog has her usual scratchy routine every time she gets in and so far nothing has snagged or frayed.
