what I actually like about this is how fast it reads the codes once it connects. I plug it in, open the app, and within a few seconds I can see exactly what fault codes are showing and what they mean in plain language. no guessing, no looking stuff up separately.
the Bluetooth range is decent enough that I don't have to sit awkwardly with my phone on the dashboard. I can sit normally in the seat and the connection stays stable while I'm reading live data from the engine.
I keep this plugged in all the time and it hasn't caused any issues. Nice to be able to check things quickly whenever something comes on. 🔧!!

my last bluetooth scanner would drop connection every five minutes and I basically gave up on it. this one has stayed paired the whole time I've been using it, no random disconnects, no restarting the app mid-read. works on my iPhone without any fiddling around.

one thing I noticed is it works with multiple OBD apps, not just one specific one. I tried it with a couple of different apps on my phone and it picked up fine each time. gives you some flexibility depending on what you prefer.

the size of this thing is really compact. it just sits in the port and barely sticks out, so I can leave it plugged in without it getting in the way of my knee or bumping into anything when I'm driving.

I was worried it wouldn't work with older vehicles but plugged it into my 2003 truck and it pulled the engine codes just fine. read everything clearly in the app and I finally figured out what that check engine light was about 👏.
Bought this after my check engine light came on and I didn't want to pay the dealership just to find out what the code was. Pulled it up myself in about two minutes. Cleared it after fixing the issue and everything is good. Definitely keeping this in my glove box.
Been using this since I got it and the app connection is solid on both my Android phone and my wife's iPhone. We share it between two cars and it just works. No weird compatibility issues like I ran into with a cheaper one I bought before.
