Really happy with this. It looks nice in the corner of the room too, not an eyesore like some of them can be. My cat claimed it immediately and hasn't stopped using it since I got it.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do. My cat uses it every single day.

At 30 inch it's tall enough that my cat can do a proper vertical stretch while she scratches. That full-body extension cats do when they're really getting into it, she finally has enough post to do that comfortably 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱!

My cat ignored her old post but took to this one almost immediately. The height seems to make a big difference.
What I noticed right away is how sturdy the square base feels compared to round bases I've seen. There's real weight to it, it sits flat and doesn't rock at all even when my cat scratches and pulls downward on it.
The sisal wrapping goes almost the full height of the post which is really nice. My cat can stretch all the way up and there's still scratching surface to spare. She alternates between the top and the middle depending on her mood.
Solid and sturdy. No complaints.

I've had a few of these over the years and this is genuinely one of the better ones. The base keeps it stable, the sisal is decent quality, and my cats actually use it instead of walking past it to scratch the furniture. Worth it.
My last scratching post was wobbly from day one, kept tipping over every time my cat leaned into it. This one has a solid square base that doesn't budge, even when my big 14-pound tabby goes at it full force. Really glad they got the base design right on this one.

the sisal texture on this is rougher than some others I've seen, which seems to be exactly what cats want. My cat digs her claws in and gets a really satisfying scratch going, you can tell she's actually using it the way it's meant to be used.
Very pleased with this. Works exactly as I hoped and my cat has been leaving the furniture alone since I put it out.

honestly just bought this without overthinking it and my cat has been scratching this instead of the couch since I got it. Didn't realize how much of a difference 30 inches of height makes, she can do a full stretch which she never could on the shorter one I had before.
Bought this for my two cats and they both use it without fighting over it too much. The height is generous and the base doesn't slide around on my hardwood floors. Straightforward and good.
My old post shed sisal fibers everywhere, like constantly, it was a mess on the carpet. This one doesn't do that. The wrap feels tightly wound and I'm not finding little sisal bits all over the floor anymore.
Told my friend to get one of these after I got mine. She was worried the sisal would start unraveling after a few weeks like the cheap ones she'd bought before. She has it now and loves it, says the wrap is holding up really well even with her two cats using it constantly.
