ok so the rotation on this thing is genuinely good. not stiff, not too loose. my old one would either spin freely when i didn't want it to or refuse to turn at all. this one clicks into angles and stays there.

Surface area is decent, fits my 15 inch laptop with a little room to spare on the sides. The plate itself doesn't flex under the weight which I was curious about before I tried it. Solid flat surface, no wobble.

The cup holder base is the key piece here and it actually works with my oversized center console cup holder, which a lot of these don't fit. The mount expands enough to grip it snugly without scratching anything.
