Water rolls right off the surface in a way that's almost satisfying to watch during rain. After a shower there's no pooling on top, no soaking through to the paint underneath. The layering really does its job.

What I really appreciate is how the reflective panels wrap around the sides, not just the top. At night it makes the whole vehicle visible from multiple angles which is something my old cover definitely didn't have.
The straps that go underneath the car are adjustable and they actually hold tension properly. I've had covers that claim to have straps and they're basically decorative. These ones grip and stay put.
