I noticed the material has a soft flocked top surface which keeps you from sliding around and also feels decent to sleep on without needing a thick blanket underneath. The underside is more durable and doesn't scratch up the car interior, which I was paying attention to.

this thing slaps for camping. we park at the trailhead, pop it in the back, and sleep pretty comfortably before an early morning hike. no complaints from me or my partner.

honestly the pump that comes with it actually works. every other car mattress kit i've bought had a weak little pump that took like 20 minutes and gave up halfway. this one plugs into the 12v port and gets the job done properly, no drama.
