The raised height is actually a bigger deal than I expected. My little gentleman right here can look out the window now, and he's so much calmer on drives because of it.. and its soft and cozyy

Honestly just tossed this in the back seat for my cat's vet trips and it works fine. Fits snug, doesn't wobble, and she seems way more comfortable than just sitting loose back there.
What I really noticed is that it works on both the front and back seat without any fuss. I use it in the back mostly but switched it to the front once for a short trip and it attached just as easily either way.
My little one used to be so anxious in the car. Since I got this she settles right down and rides without any fuss. It has made a real difference for us on longer drives.

the inside is so soft that my dog just curls up and naps. She used to pace and whine the whole drive, now she's out within a few minutes of getting in. That alone makes it worth it.
